"Sit back and let it wash through you": graceful guitar melodies for a delicate daydream

Transfer To Graham may still be a noble unknown, the project of Lukas Coussement is cut out for everyone who likes to slip into some instrumental guitar magic. During a stay in Buenos Aires three years ago, the Brussels resident gained experience in the local music scene, which he incorporates on his first record. "Miraflores" effortlessly creates the album's atmosphere: graceful guitar lines intertwine lyrically, not devoid of a subtle Latin vibe and extra appealing thanks to the sober drum parts by Alfredo Bravo (Flying Horseman). Remarkable.

These days the easiest way to travel might still be in our heads, and Transfer To Graham eagerly lends a helping hand.

Three years ago Lukas Coussement wondered carefree through South-America, bonding with musicians on the way. Experiences that ring through in his memories.

After the season themed One Minute Songs, he brews a new album as Transfer To Graham with eight instrumental tracks and the first one is entitled Miraflores, after the district in Peru.

Don’t expect panpipes or charangos, but rather tender, somewhat melancholic music with Coussement’s soothing guitar in the center, surrounded by snippets of electronics and sparse percussion.

The whole was mixed by Xavier De Clerq at Poolside Studio and mastered by Gert Van Hoof at Cochlea Mastering. Pre-production took place in Het Depot with Christophe Vandewoude.
