The Sweet Side LP

Originally when I started working on a new album late in 2018, my release goals looked much different. I felt like I was on the move and Sam and I were just cranking out ideas and songs with so many of our friends and collaborators. By the end of 2019 I had a collection of music that I was ready to finalize and move towards planning a release. I knew the album would be called Sweet Side and I was really excited to have my debut full length album finally coming out! Early 2020 I loosely picked some release dates and started working towards those goals but by the end of March 2020 I immediately made the decision to postpone everything. I felt like everyone in the world was just overwhelmed and bombarded with so many other things that it felt like too much. One thing after another it felt like 2020 was getting worse and it started to feel like my music didn't matter anymore.

So I hunkered down at home and continued working on the music that we thought was done, but now that we had more time to work on it we were able to take it to another level. We made so many changes throughout 2020 and I'm so glad it worked out that way. I finished the first half of the album and decided to test the waters with Sweet Side A. That allowed me to release music and still work on the other half of the album at the same time. I tried to keep myself busy in 2020. I started 2021 off with 4 new singles and now with the final release of Last Night (the last song to be released), Sweet Side the album will finally be completed!

Like I mentioned before, I had my heart set on releasing this music as an album and I'm so glad to be able to do that this year, especially on vinyl. Thank you so much for continuing along with me on this musical journey with me and my Blue Dream Team. <3
