Jetfighter Records and Sofa King Vinyl have partnered up to release a limited 7 inch 45RPM single of 'I Wanna Be David Cassidy' b/w 'Let's Be Friends' by Ken Sharp. The single is a new tribute song to the late ‘70s icon.
Ken Sharp is an L.A. based singer/songwriter with four acclaimed albums to his credit, the single was written on the day Cassidy passed away and recorded and mixed in marathon speed. 'I Wanna Be David Cassidy' received its worldwide premiere on November 26, 2017 on renowned DJ Rodney Bingenheimer’s radio show on Sirius XM’s “Underground Garage” the day after it was finished.
All net profits from the sale of the record will be donated to The Alzheimer's Association.

'I Wanna Be David Cassidy' was recorded over two marathon sessions in late November 2017 at Reseda Ranch Studios in Reseda, CA and The Manor in Toluca Lake, CA. Produced by Ken Sharp and Fernando Perdomo (Todd Rundgren/Beck/Fiona Apple), the song features musical backing by Sharp, Perdomo and Rob Bonfiglio (Wilson Philips).
