You've been worshipping more than one God... It's time you've met them

SparkleDammit’s debut EP called Idolatry is loosely based on Neil Gaiman’s books American Gods and Norse Mythology, Grimes’ Miss Anthropocene and Stephen Fry’s book Mythos.

So after 2 years of obsessively consuming mythology, Sparkle pondered the question “If gods were personifications of what were important to humans, what gods would we be worshipping today?” And if these modern gods were around, what would they want from us?

Idolatry is her answer to these questions.

She was heavily influenced by the sounds of Grimes, Bjork, K/DA and The Chemical Brothers during the creation of this EP.

The songs will be dropped in a micro-dosing fashion, so the world will soon be meeting their new gods, Gods that we all have been worshipping, be it intentional or not.

Sparkle is a South African producer, singer, and songwriter, who started out performing from a young age, singing Arias into unmentionable objects before she could even talk.

Her music has been described as HyperPop, J-Pop, Ethereal, Experimental, Electronica, Artpop, Industrial, quirky, weird, but, at the same time, none of those things either. This confuses her too.

Working under the mentorship of legends such as Shelly Poole, Ally McErlaine, Jeff Franzel, Rob Wells, Sie Medway-Smith, to name just a few, she refined hersongwriting skills and learned to produce music. Under their guidance she recorded, co-wrote and co-produced her debut music.

After being diagnosed with cancer and six rounds of intense chemotherapy, she became very aerodynamic due to losing all her bodily hair, which gave her theability to swim really fast.

So after a few other unfortunate events, she's back with a vengeance! Eager to pursue music regardless of what happens, succeed or fail, she's just here to have fun anyway
