The music of Gabriel Knight -- as you've never heard it before

Following on the success of the "Duke Duke Dance Party" record of Duke Nukem 3D remixes, the Space Quest Historian -- now under the moniker "One Kid From Andromeda" -- sets his synth-heavy sights on the celebrated neo-noir classic, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers.

"Synths of the Fathers" (I know, you can punch me later for that pun) features 10 remixes of the classic and iconic soundtrack from the 1993 adventure game... and a bonus 14-minute long medley of additional tunes from the game.

The record features hard-hitting EBM industrial, lush synth-heavy soundscapes, and even some live-drumming -- all based on the original performances of composer Robert Holmes. The music has been mixed by professional musician and sound engineer Jon Paul Sapsford. The records themselves are translucent blue and red, and housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket with original artwork by Forgotton Anne designer George Avdoulos.

"As a man who has way too many synths myself, I have a deep love for the endless possibilities and lovely energy they can create. If it had been possible back in the days of GK1, I certainly would have done some of that music on true synths. All of this makes this collection and treatment of the music even more of a pleasure for me. I'm very proud of the music from the GK games, and to see it revisited with such passion and care, along with a healthy dose of newly injected perspective and creativity, is a true joy! Add to this the ability to enjoy it on vinyl and have it hopefully reach a new audience, and I'm beyond thrilled. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have!"
-- Robert Holmes, original composer of "Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers"
