"CLOUD PARADE" The debut full-length record from Canadian Alt-Folk troubadour 'Bright World' is here at last!

Cloud Parade is the first full-length studio album from Bright World, the solo music project of multi-disciplinary artist Evan Williams. The album is the culmination of over two years of work, including a period of experimental remote creation during the pandemic lockdown of 2020. The nine-track arc hints at the range of Williams’ diverse musical influences, as well as his skills as a natural multi-instrumentalist, combining to form a unique yet inviting sound that eludes convention. The record is at once warm and sonically dense thanks to the thoughtful arrangement of organic instruments, no drum loop or plugin in sight. Every sound was captured with thought and care, live in studio in Los Angeles, by the team of Williams and producer Justin Glasco. The album is a lyrical odyssey which traverses the gamut from inspiration, to disillusionment, heartbreak and back again, all set against the backdrop of a modern society which the artist reveals a sense of distance from. With a silken vocal tone, Williams entices listeners on an emotional journey of private thoughts and full-throated feelings, a resolute idealism at odds with a bruised heart. Containing songs penned at various points in Williams’ travels, from Paris, to Nashville, the album is a synthesis of the raw musings of a poet finding his voice, and a natural knack for storytelling honed in his many years as a performer. The fusion of public and private artistry, raised to soaring sonic heights, Cloud Parade is the evocative coming out party that Bright World deserves.

“I’m thrilled to share this record at last, it contains all the hope, tears, rage, and ecstasy of an overflowing heart, and it feels cathartic to finally put a stamp on it and send it out the door into the world. It’s my sincere hope that people might resonate with these private thoughts and feel seen; Feel embraced”. -EW
