Hey! It's Jackson Whalan here. As some of you may know, I've been producing beats and rapping for over fifteen years. I create eclectic hip-hop with a modern flair to invoke positive societal change. Music is my life.

This Qrates vinyl crowdfunding campaign will be my first-ever opportunity to press up records for listeners to experience the sound in a whole new way. It's a chance to make our music available in a durable physical form, so it can live on in the real world, not just digitally. For me, nothing beats the experience of listening this way.

After releasing multiple albums and a bunch of singles on streaming platforms (and occasionally pressing CDs), it's about time to get you some vinyl for the first time.

We need your help though. We are crowdfunding for the first round of records, and we will work hard to reach our goal of 200 copies. I invite you to pre-order The Road Ahead, Vol. 1 on vinyl and share this campaign amongst your friends!

The Road Ahead, Vol. 1 is a full-length album of beats (it's a beat tape) that I created with my studio partner and longtime friend, keyboardist and composer Ian Evans. We've worked together on a ton of projects under my name, but this is the first time we released something together as an equal collaboration. The album is about 50 minutes long, and will take up two 12 inch, 33 RPM records, with an A, B, C, and D side.

Since we released the album on August 14th, 2020, we've received an unprecedented positive response, including over 20 Spotify playlist features. We've been told that the songs are great study/chill beats that come in handy for a wide variety of activities.

To be honest, it's a daunting task for me to run a crowdfunding campaign. Having a full-time independent music career has me working around the clock already. Adding this to the mix is a lot of work. That's why why are asking for your support.

I'm letting go of all doubts and fears about crowdfunding, and I'm going all in to ensure that this album turns into vinyl. Please help us by ordering the record and sharing this campaign with your people. We will definitely be doing the same.
