2010年からバンドや個人名義でリリースを断続的に続けるOsamu Sugiyamaのエイリアス。
『2001年宇宙の旅』『インターステラー』『コンタクト』『エイリアン』などの映画から着想し、ノンバーバルなコミュニケーションとしての音楽、あるいは宇宙的トリップをテーマに活動する。

Staris is an alias of Osamu Sugiyama, who has been releasing music intermittently under his own name or with a band since 2010.
Inspired by films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Interstellar, Contact, and Alien, Staris's work focuses on music as a form of non-verbal communication or a cosmic trip.
