Love the System is the brainchild of punk mc Tom Eysink Smeets (aka Jeff Tropicana) and funk multi instrumentalist Adam Bar-Pereg.
Set out to make the funkiest record they could and inviting a whole bunch of amazing musical friends along the way, their debut album "Nice Life" is finally here after 2 years of hard work and doritos!
Featuring among others: Cory Wong (Vulfpeck) Benjamin Herman, St. Paul Peterson (Prince), Grand Puba (Brand Nubians), Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy/Fearless Flyers), J-Rod Sullivan (Johnny Gill/the 4Corners), Jake Sherman (Jake&Abe), Broken Brass, Chew Fu (Lady Gaga/Bootsy Collins) and our musical daddy Kid Creole (and the Coconuts).
This amazing line up of world class hero's crossed over with the crazy humor and antics of Tom and Adam, together with their main group of fantastic band members (including Robert Biesewig (Jessie Reyes/Method Man), Holy Horns and vocalists Mea Palmen and Kiki van Deursen) have made something, completely independent and totally MUST-HAVE! And of course this record deserves a double album 180Grams of funk!
And with absurdly awesome artwork by Pleun Pijnenburg!!
This 60 min + album will coincide with our digital release AND a 4 part "sit-com"-series on YouTube...something like you've never seen before... out on the 10th of September 2021
