"From his simple, contemplative and concrete Beats, Cafeina Kid builds an organic tissue that makes each song a living body, an organic and familiar plot even when it is something absolutely new.

For some years now, in Concepción, Chile, a self-managed and self-produced underground avant-garde musical revolution has been brewing, renewing and proposing a language and exponents of international level. Among the voices that lead and that definitely have a unique and recognizable stamp to the point of being a reference for new producers and composers is Pablo Cornejo with his project Caffeine Kid and Duo Odio. Pablo is a sculptor of fine and subtle melodies that carry an atavistic message or refer to an archetypal form of premusic. Slightly we could talk about a foray into Nu Jazz, Downtempo, Trip Hop, Glitch and Dub but the truth is that from his simple and concrete Beats he builds an organic fabric that makes each song a living body, an organic and familiar plot even when it is something absolutely new. He adds as a gift to install the new in reality as if it were a landscape that we had always known through phrases of instruments and voices of a culture that is not located in a place but in the full humanity. A duduk, a flugelhorn, do not refer to a context of style but are the manifestations of a dreamlike episode that allows the voices of vastness and uncertainty to pass from consciousness to unconsciousness and vice versa, or an unexpected spiritual turbulence to be triggered that then unfolds in a calm that is always full of restlessness as if narrating the path of search and rest in that becoming. This landscape is that of the beauty of chance, of uncertainty, of the neutral rawness of sound, and it transforms his music into something mysterious and yet intimate. As he himself often says, the music will disappear, and this album is a log of that trajectory towards the end, his music is not just music, it is a vital sound experience.
I have let the 11 tracks of this album run over and over again and have not experienced the commonplace of the journey that is always mentioned to metaphorize the rapture that music leads to with dynamic groove and eclectic ethnic content, rather what I have experienced, through the infinite sound layers and textures of analogous instruments, synthesizers, noises and vibrant silences is a full awareness of the passing of time and of my joyful presence as part of what I hear and what I immerse myself in as if I were given the return to the origin to the premusic or the future when I am no longer just a body but a whispering inexistence in the Universe.

The "Cafeina Kid" is an attempt to understand the music, providing a lot of space to understand in detail the fullness of the phenomenon.

Under the alter ego of Pablo Cornejo, he published the album of noise "Panorama" in the netlabel "Planear", processes in "The infinity process" of "Capitalia.net", in the "Latin American compilation of experimental music" of the netlabel "Aloardi". As "Cafeina Kid" she participated in the compilation album "Pueblo Nuevo 1° aniversario" (2006) and collaborated in the album "Mestizo" (2007) by Mika Martini. After several years without publication, in 2016 she presented "Neko" (pn115), her most recent production under the eaves of Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel again. I have let the 11 tracks of this album run over and over again and I have not experienced the common place of the journey that is always mentioned to metaphorize the rapture that music leads to with dynamic groove and eclectic ethnic content, rather what I have experienced, through the infinite sound layers and textures of analogous instruments, synthesizers, noises and vibrant silences is a full awareness of the passing of time and of my joyful presence as part of what I hear and what I immerse myself in as if I were given the return to the origin to the premusic or the future when I am no longer just a body but a whispering inexistence in the Universe.
