"Agnar's Dead Childhood was a striking album upon it's initial digital release in late 2017. Something of a mix between sample curation and aesthetic world building, I found this album to be playful and dark at the same time. While the offbeat canter and dreamy syncopation of songs like "Walking Home" are obvious in their experimentation, it's on songs like "Unix Rain" and "Heartbreak" where Agnar's dedication to his vision shines with echoing clarity. This, paired with the more traditional curated sample work of songs like "Programbreak" and culminating in the eponymous ambient ballad makes Dead Childhood 2.0 an expressive work which establishes Agnar as a true craftsman with much to offer.
