The Neon Noir project began life as a soundtrack to an independently made point and click adventure game that paid homage to Konami classics like Snatcher and Policenauts. Mike Mertes (Unleaded Logic), a long-time gamer and music composer was brought on board with the project to compose four music tracks for the game. After a departure on the development team occurred, Mike joined the team for a short time before the project ultimately was stalled and cancelled. Not wanting to waste the work that was put into the game and music, Mike secured the rights to continue to use the name of the game for what would now be his latest album.

The Neon Noir is as much as an album as it still is a soundtrack. The synth wave vibe brings back memories of the 80s as you explore the dark and gritty city of the Neon Noir and escape its concrete jungle to reach the coast made from neon dreams. Love, wins, loss, betrayal and escape…await.
