The Curve of the Earth is With You

Voltage Black

Limited 12" edition of Voltage Black's debut LP, 'The Curve of the Earth is With You'

‘The Curve of the Earth is With You’ is the debut album from Voltage Black, the genre-defying vocal project of multi-alias artist, Ewan Fisher. Fishers music has featured on The Guardian, BBC 6 Music with Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson, NTS Radio and at Bloc Festival.

These seven psychedelic and crystalline compositions draw together elements of alternative pop, post-rock, maximal synth-wave, techno and cinematic ambience, to make a new sound all of its own. The sonic and emotional result is cohesive, and Fisher’s understanding of structure and melody makes the songs accessible and universally resonant.

"...The way so many inspirations are coalesced into one densely produced dream pop affair is impressive and begs to be listened to again and again..." - American Pancake

"...Voltage Black are a maximum presentation of myriad of rainbow, spacey shoegaze tinged synth noise. The UK electro duo is following up to their superb single “We, The Obsolete” with an energetic lush track..." - Lights and Music (Japan)

"...takes you on a journey through a crunchy sonic soundscape, not dissimilar to the likes of Fuck Buttons, before dropping you off with bursts of squidgy Animal Collective-esque optimism" - Killer Ponytail (London)

"all echo and warped shadows, with a sense of foreboding instilled by the deep, crooning vocals..." - Never Enough Notes
