Here lies Keto’s next anticipated and most complete work to date, due October 2018, debut album, Blackened Pool.
Blackened Pool was recorded in the eerily serene setting of the Outer Hebrides with support from the PRS Foundation.
Described as ‘incredibly dark, minimal songs, with dreamy backdrops.’ Detuned nylon string guitar and distinctive vocal, recorded together on one mic form the foundation of most of the tracks. With sparse piano, violin, electric guitars, swirling melodies and weird textures and percussion enhancing the rise and falls in this collection, sitting somewhere between bleakness and enduring hopefulness.
This year Keto went on a full UK and Ireland tour supporting critically acclaimed songwriter, Simone Felice (Three Billboards.,), played at the renowned Southbank centre for a special performance of her works, and has upcoming performances at Green Man festival '18 and Moseley Folk Festival.
"Blackened Pool is my debut album, which is an amazing thing to say. It is a culmination of my ongoing work as on artist, and I can’t wait to share it.
I spent 10 days in the Outer Hebrides recording, and bringing my ideas to life with fellow Nottingham musician’s Rob Rosa, Pete Fletcher and Andrew Middleton."
