Michelle Rivera: Born in New York City to parents of Puerto Rican descent, Michelle was raised in a home filled with a love and appreciation for varied musical genres from Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk, to Folk, Salsa, Hip Hop and her personal favorite, Neo-Soul. Michelle’s diverse taste is becoming evident in her emerging vocal style. After years of following the NYC deep house music scene, Michelle was encouraged by friends and producers to pursue her life-long dream of singing. She began with writing poetry, songs and connecting with her voice. Shortly thereafter, Michelle wrote “Live It”, produced by legendary music producer/DJ/Remixer, Todd Terry. Released on Todd’s InHouse Records label, “Live It” debuted on Traxsource's top 100 Soulful House Track list in February 2014.
