on the description says : 12" black vinyl 45PRM but it's a double vinyl one is black and the other is red

Debut album of Shrooms Circle.

From its opening and title track, Asylum’s dense melodic atmosphere serves as the ceremonial backdrop for the seven track aural ritual. The heavy opener welcomes you with a solemn yet inviting mellotron session, a recurrent motif arriving in intervals at mind shattering peaks of madness throughout the album. Once the ritual chamber has been sealed the vocalist presents a crawly and harrowing style heaving along the massive doom drenched riffs. Soon you’ll realize that this is all actually taking place inside a asylum haunted by its ill-fated deceased occupants. ‘Witches Are There’ is a gloriously clouded psychodrama charged with their own brand of psych-doom flowing almost seamlessly into ‘Out From The Grave’; a monumental summoning utilizing key elemental chords to coax out the previously mentioned dwellers of Asylum. ’The Druggist’ is my favorite track thanks to its extra thick arrangement and perfect pace, the keys weave in and out as the vocalist appears to be consumed by a mental breakdown while still delivering his signature tones. One of the most hard hitting tunes is ‘A House Behind The Hills’, percussion driven with a lovely opening demonstrating the bands mellotron worship. “Trapped” is the furious adaptation of what Shrooms Circle's ensemble is capable of in full stride, ending suddenly without warning. ’The Island’ is a throbbing send off with a full circle approach offering closure to the intense episode of psychedelic doom that is Shrooms Circle. Asylum is a very enjoyable debut from a promising band who’ve managed to individualize themselves with a sharp recognizable musicianship and I’m really looking forward to adding this to my personal collection!
