Share Records is delighted to announce the release of 3Kilo aka Ravil and his "Untold" EP. The title track provides the opening salvos, full of the deep house credibility that has been well earned. The pounding beat of "Untold" is twinned with a swung percussive section that fizzes its way atop a deep growling, intermittent bass stab and high-pitched pizzicato motif. Strong tribal percussive grooves form the backdrop for "Something Familiar". A deep, lazy groove continues the rhythmic themes of its predecessor but a sustained and gradually modulated pad provides a pensive air as it occasionally shifts its chord shape. Every nuance can be heard as the melodic elements drift away to leave a collage of complex beats and rhythms in the final movement. Final track, "What U Want & What U Need" is full of deep rhythmic themes combined with cascading organic percussive element and acoustic drum fills. A huge sine wave bass then imperceptibly finds itself locked to the intricate groove as effects, white noise and filters are scattered liberally across proceedings, enveloping the overall sonic structure. "What U Want & What U Need" is an impressive tour de force that epitomises Ravil's musical roots. With a trio of deep house tacks to his name, 3Kilo's "Untold" represents a body of work formed from the very foundations of musical ingenuity.
