Special Edition 10" Vinyl EP
ELECTRIC PARLOR is a rock ‘n’ roll band from Los Angeles, California. Members consist of Monique Alvarez (vocals), Kris Farr (guitar), Josh Fell (Bass), and Zachary Huling (drums).
Original members Alvarez, Farr, and Huling all met after discovering each other’s Craigslist ads. Fell joined the band in late 2013 after seeing ELECTRIC PARLOR’s Bandcamp page and inquiring about jamming with them.
The style and feel of ELECTRIC PARLOR’s music can be described as visceral blues-grooved rock with a live vibe on every track. This feel was taken to their approach when they recorded their debut album analogue to tape in the summer of 2014 at Big Scary Tree Studios in Sunland, CA. On February 3rd, 2015 the album went live on their site for download and later released on iTunes via Smooch City Publishing on February 20th.
ELECTRIC PARLOR started in the depths of “the bottom” and are slowing climbing it to the top. They take pride in creating music that has an honest, raw, and live feel to it, relatable to every music fan all over the world. They are inspired by the past, and the lessons they have learned from years of listening to the forefathers of Rock. Rock 'n' Roll is certainly alive and well and ELECTRIC PARLOR wants to be apart of the ongoing evolution.
With their sights set on the future, you can catch ELECTRIC PARLOR gigging out around the greater Los Angeles area, rehearsing at Francisco Studios, or getting hopped up on churros and bomb Mexican food in the lovely city of Maywood. The Weingärtner Phonogram Company was founded to bring a sense of artistic pride to capturing and releasing recordings of original contemporary music to the public. The company operates with three main focuses; providing high quality recording and mixing services of both studio recordings and live concerts, live sound reinforcement, and operating as a record label.
As a label we are pleased to have produced and released three full length albums in the fall of 2014. In 2015 and beyond, our focus has begun to grow to not only releasing and promoting works we’ve recorded and produced ourselves, but also curating special edition releases of artists and ensembles we may not have had a direct hand in recording, but see something special in their music.
