James (Boho Fau) and Karl (StereoOreo) met back in 2006 at the Grand Star Jazz Club, in Los Angeles, showing support for a mutual friend. They vibed on each others work for months until that laidback, jazzy, coffee house sounding beat materialized. Fau then laced the track with a catchy chorus and lyrics about a guy chillin in a coffee shop. That track evolved into "Coffee House Swingin'," which was the springboard for the rest of the album series.
