"The third release on the 'Wheel Up' Records Label outta Newcastle sees local soundman Calculus of the mighty Pangea Sound System team up with Trinity Lo-Fi to produce this dancehall shaker of a track.
Made up of Zico MC and Jody Bigfoot, Trinity have been making heads nod and mashing up dancefloors all over the UK for several years now with their unique blend of conscious lyrics, an eclectic range of different MC styles and a hype about their live shows that really has to be seen to be believed.
As always, Calculus comes correct with the production. Drawing on his vast knowledge of bass music he fuses a steppas bassline with a ska rhythm that drives the track forward in an up tempo style. Trinity’s lyrics flow effortlessly over the track, blessing up all soundman over the land. Add into that a playful horns line that rides over the top throughout and you’ve got a tune that’s guaranteed to get the people moving.
Coming out soon as a limited edition 7” vinyl, and featuring artwork by Ryan Dovenor of Dove Illustrations, Calculus has kept this one strictly local, drawing on the talent in and around the North East to produce a forward-thinking track that’s sure to ram the dancehall! "
