Jessica Tate

Jessica Tate is a musician, vocalist and composer from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Studying classical harp from the age of 5, Tate was always restless with the boxes that the harp comes in, and had ideas that it could be something different. After 15 years as a professionally trained classical musician, performing with orchestral ensembles throughout the USA, Tate left that world behind to forge a different path. That path has taken a few interesting turns throughout the years, namely residencies at the Ritz-Carlton group in Chengdu, China, and an appointment as a Jazz Ambassador to the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai. Most recently, Tate has explored original composition and orchestration for rock and jazz ensembles, with music composed specifically for harp, which incorporates both Ms. Tate’s classical training, 20+ year jazz performance career and personal flair for the dramatic.
