Irena Upė

Irena Upė (a.k.a. Synthgirl I-rena) - an independent composer, singer and performer from Lithuania. The concept of the Synthgirl music lies in the synthesis of two different worlds: technological, from one side, and ancient ethnological, from the other.
Growing and developing herself on a rock stage with the band for 7 years, Synthgirl starts her own solo project which can be characterised as theatre of a contemporary soundscape and motion with an echoes of primal spirit. You can hear ancient Lithuanian songs, interpreted by the singer, instrumental pieces and her own songs as well.
