Garot Michael Conklin

Garot Michael Conklin has been the principle composer for BiFocal Publishing, a BMI affiliate music publisher, since 1991 & has over 300 registered credits within his diverse musical catalog.

Starting his career in the NYC club scene, working with many notable producers of that time including the legendary Mark Kamins, Garot was signed by Goldenstar Management & released 2 deep house / techno singles. As Delta 12 "Special K" was released at Webster Hall in NYC on Hangman Records & distributed by Hot Productions out of Miami, FL. Tiny Bubbles released "Phat Black Pussy Cat" on Butchwax Records also distributed by Hot Productions. This marked the first commercially recorded release of Garot's trumpet playing.

As principle engineer for lofi Recordings, Garot has his hands on all things music when it comes to releases, collaborations, catalog extension & engineering as a service for up & coming artists. The diversity of catalog over the years maintains its influences in dance, hip-hop, pop, jazz & classical.

Garot has placed songs with INGrooves Records, The Harry Fox Agency & most notably MTV Networks, placing several tracks on the television series "The Real World / Road Rules Inferno I / II Challenge."

Today Garot is concentrating on lofi hip-hop & house infused with smooth jazz & developing up-&-coming artists such as Ava Rose & working with the lofi community at large on collaborations, mixes & joint releases.
