A dead old computer unexpectedly came back to life one saturday afternoon giving back dozens of beats produced in the early 2000's.
Lo-fi sample-based instrumental hip hop, produced with a sampler + groove machine.
This works aim at shining some light on the composing style of instrumental hip-hop, which at that time represented a big break from the past and a step towards democratisation of music making.
It gave the chance to kids like me that never had the chance to study music, to actually produce their own stuff and find their way in life.
I feel grateful and blessed for this.
