East and West Rendezvous

Welcome to East Records!

East Records is an independent record label founded in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2015 by Jack Burns and Hannah Jay-Burns.

The music you hear on East Records varies greatly across each release but they all share a commonality in that their foremost purpose is creative and artistic rather than commercial.


East and West Rendezvous took initial inspiration from the height of psychedelia in the 1960s and 70s. It was here also that East Records found its initial inspiration and the production style has most clearly been influenced by Brian Wilson and George Martin, albeit with a leaning towards improvisation more commonly found in Jazz, Indian classical, early Prog, Funk, Soul or any fusion of 'Psychedelia'.
