Ferdy & Daniel van der Zwaag

Previous EP:

A man with considerable talent across the whole gamut of underground dance music, Ferdy Ouderkerken is a Dutch producer with a raft of impressive credentials to his name. Joining forces with compatriot Daniel van der Zwaag, the duo now follow up on the success of "Raindrops" in February 2015 with the stunning new twin-track "Dust" EP for Particles.

Born and raised in the small town of Sneek in the north of Holland, a town famous for its canals produced a flowing stream of talent that has enriched the lives of Ferdy's fans. Smitten with dance music after witnessing Sasha at Amsterdam's Loveparade, the sound of electronic beats and melodies, combined with a passion for The Doors and Thom York, saw Ferdy open up a deep well of musical ideas. A fount of expertise gained from early production work aged 16, ultimately led to two highly impressive record deals for Global Underground and Armada. A collaborative pairing with Edwin Mulder led to further success on Hope Recordings and Eelke Kleijn's Outside The Box, before Ferdy settled down to discover his own unique sound.

A DJ regular across his homeland, Particles has become a consistent vehicle in illustrating Ferdy's musical gift. The "Spaceman" and "Crossroads" EPs witnessed a lucky thirteen tracks of skill and poise while subsequent remixes from Pole Folder, Fran Von Vie and Navar have provided a blue chip retake on the Dutch maestro's work. Always "looking for interesting collaborations", Ferdy's burgeoning relationship with fellow Sneek resident, Daniel van der Zwaag, has seen the cascading "Raindrops" take form. With van der Zwaag's musical pedigree in guitar and keyboard plus a familiar face in the Dutch dance scene, residencies at Nokturne, and PLAY! have seen Daniel add further layers of texture to Ferdy's trademark sound.
